Which Bay Village Board of Education candidates are connected to the Bay Village Citizens for Transparency?

All eight Bay Village Board of Education candidates have been asked the question:

"Are you a member of the Bay Village Citizens for Transparency?"

Answers below:

Casey Ault – Unconfirmed

Ault has not answered the question, which was sent via her campaign website.

However, during an interview on the podcast "From The Median," published on July 22, 2021, Ault tells host Molly Smith: “We are forming a group called ‘The Bay Village Citizens for Transparency,’ and really, that’s what we want is transparency. We want a seat at the table, open discussion, and to really talk through some of these things that are impacting our children and our children’s education and our families."

Scott Dwyer - No

"I am not a member of the Citizens for Transparency, nor have I supported, worked with, or participated in anything associated with this group.

"I am running as a completely independent candidate in the race for BV School Board."

Amy Huntley - No

"I am NOT a member."

Rick Jones - No

"I am not a member nor running as a candidate of the BVCT, BVAN, or any group.

"I am running as a graduate and parent who wants the Bay Schools to maintain their tradition of excellence. I am very, very active coaching my sons, and I want to ensure them, their teammates and all kids going through Bay learn the same life lessons I received.

"I have not heard from anyone in regards to dropping out, and if I did, it would be a nonstarter.

(Editor's note: There are unconfirmed reports that one or more candidates were asked to exit the race to accommodate other candidates.)

"I feel like the city is too divided and the number one goal should be to unite the city. Unfortunately, right now politics are coming into the schools, and that is the one place politics should not be. It should be about the kids, and kids only.

"The attacks I am hearing about on Facebook are unnecessary, are embarrassing for those involved, and unneeded.

"As I also said on Wednesday (during Candidate Forum), before anyone says anything on Facebook, please reach out to me and meet me to see what I truthfully stand for.

"I am a very public person and it is not hard to track me down."

Patrick Mosier - No

I am not, nor have I ever been, a member of the Bay Village Citizens for Transparency group.

Scott Schulz - No

"No, I am absolutely not."

Andrey Stojic - No

"I say clearly, I am not, nor would I ever be, a part of the Bay Village Citizens for Transparency. People have the right to their opinion, but we need to stand for what we believe.

"I reject divisive rhetoric that serves only to divide our community and takes away for the real priority: making our schools great for our children and dedicated to our shared values of academic excellence.

"We are stronger united. Together our community, our parents, and our teachers have built something special. And that is because of all us.

"Bay Village brings out the best in all of us. Together we can make a better future for our schools."

John Taylor – No

In a video posted on YouTube on Oct. 17, Taylor tells the video's narrator that he is not involved with the BVCT.

Narrator: Are you a member of the infamous transparency committee?

Taylor: No, I get that question a lot, and I've responded back verbally and writing.

Narrator: Are you affiliated with the transparency committee?

Taylor: No.

Narrator: Has your campaign taken funds from the transparency committee?

Taylor: No.

Narrator: Have you been part of a team to define the mailers sent by the transparency committee?

Taylor: No.

Narrator: Did you ever suggest or have advanced notice of anything in the mailers from the transparency committee?

Taylor: No.

Narrator: How about their website? Did you have anything to do with that?

Taylor: No, I did not. I think that should finally put that to rest for everybody.

  1. Has anyone taken a look at the domain registrations, web hosting facilities, cashing facilities, and source code to the website and that of the candidates? One of the first things I did after hearing about this was dig into them. It's interesting that Casey's website hosting company cashing company and registrar all seem to match this mysterious pay village citizens for transparency website
